The Practice Management Knowledge Community (PMKC) is charged
with identifying and developing information on the business and
practice of architecture for use by the profession to maintain and
improve the quality of the professional and business environment.
Aimed at serving the membership, the PMKC initiates programs,
provides content and serves as a resource to other knowledge
communities, and acts as experts on AIA Institute programs and
policies that pertain to a wide variety of business practices and
trends. The PMKC is also dedicated to developing new, more
effective means of discovering, gathering, organizing and
disseminating practice management knowledge among architects and
their strategic partners.
Vision
The Practice Management Knowledge Community wants people we touch
to say: I'm delighted that easy and effective access to and
sharing of practice management knowledge has improved me, my
practice and my profession.
Mission
The Practice Management Knowledge Communitys mission is to
create delight as we:
- Connect people, invigorate communities and create networks to
discover, gather, organize and share knowledge in the practice of
architecture
- Continually build and improve access to practice knowledge
resources and content experts
- Engender trust in our communities to encourage knowledge
sharing and a culture that responds to members changing
needs
- Facilitate peoples optimal use of resources and
networks
- Show leadership by shaping networks and change
