National Allied Individual Membership in the AIA
National Allied Individual Membership
Application
Are you a designer, artist, engineer, or contractor? Are you
working in a field that is related to architecture? National
individual allied membership is designed for those individuals who
do not qualify as AIA or Assoc. AIA members but are employed
outside the architecture practice and are involved in positions
allied to the field of architecture.
National allied membership does not include membership at the state and local levels. For information about local allied membership, please contact your local component. Find your local component now.
National allied members share in all Institute resources, programs, services, and activities, establishing relationships with architects that go beyond sales and specifications. These are some of the benefits offered to allied individual members:
- AIA.org Members
Section
Exclusive area of the www.aia.org Web site dedicated to the AIA member community. - The Octagon
National allied members of the AIA also become Friends Society members of the Octagon. As a Friends Society member, you support the stewardship of the building, the exhibition program, the collections, and public programming. - Knowledge
Communities
Otherwise known as the primary interest areas, national allied members may join any one of the many knowledge communities (KCs). KCs provide access to in-depth information, services, knowledge, and career needs for your particular areas of architecture practice. Online eNewletters feature new briefs, competition and event updates, and insights on emerging trends in the design profession. - Educational
programs
