Call for Nominations: CAFM Advisory Group

AIA Corporate Architects and Facility Management Knowledge Community

Advisory Group - Call for Nominations
Deadline: August 15, 2008

The AIA Corporate Architects and Facility Managers (CAFM) Knowledge Community is now soliciting applications for the 2009 appointment to the Advisory Group of the Committee. The advisory group is a five-member committee responsible for the leadership and direction of the CAFM Knowledge Community.

The CAFM Knowledge Community is a partnership of owners and architects working for or within corporations or other client organizations engaging and informing its members to advance their professional goals and knowledge base. Our mission is to facilitate the generation and exchange of knowledge valuable to KC members in order to promote professional development and promote a positive impact on the built environment.

For more information about CAFM, please see:  www.aia.org/cafm.

Advisory Group Term of Service

Although the official appointment begins January 1, 2009, participation in some late-2008 committee events may also be expected. One new member is appointed to the Advisory Group each year to replace one person completing his or her service. The usual term of membership in the Advisory Group is five years, rotating to vice chair in the third year and to chair in the fourth year. This appointment will commence in 2009, with reappointment by the AIA president considered annually through 2013.
